ABSTRACT

My concept of abstract coincides with the origin of its birth. “A significant part of the element can represent the whole, the substitution of the element for its essence, can represent the element itself.” The evolution of the abstract in its multiple movements and forms, even reaching the wildest abstract, which I would define as: “The summary of the abstract in process of abstraction”. It makes it difficult to determine when the work is finished, if not for an intentionality alien to it, and determined by the will and hand of the author. This difficult moment, for me, arrives when the pictorial quality has enough strength to maintain itself in time.
